Pirlo urges Juve togetherness

Juve's run of nine consecutive Serie A titles was ended by Inter claiming the crown earlier this month and the Turin outfit may not be dining at Europe's top table next season after slipping to fifth following Sunday's 3-0 home defeat to AC Milan.

They are a point behind fourth-placed Napoli with three games of the season remaining but will not be able to take anything for granted on Wednesday when they head to Sassuolo, who have dropped just two points in their last six matches.

Juventus have won just two of their last seven on the road and will then host Inter before completing their league season at Bologna, following the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta on 19th May.

Pirlo has called for a united effort to ensure they gain one of the coveted top-four spots.

He said: "I saw the team in good spirits this week, we had trained with the right concentration and we were convinced we could play a great match. However, it was not like that.

"I knew we were going to run into difficulties, but now we all have to get out of this together.  There must always be pride in wearing this shirt and certain performances must not be there.

"I am convinced that I have an excellent team at my disposal. If something went wrong, I take responsibility for it."

Juventus are 3/5 to win at Sassuolo, who are 4/1 to take the three points. The draw is available at 16/5.
