Richarlison makes decision on Everton future

Richarlison has reportedly told his agent that he wants to leave Everton in the summer whether or not the club remain in the Premier League.

The Brazilian has been at the club for the past four seasons after spending one season at Watford in his first foray in European football.

Everton have constantly underperformed in that time, however, but the 24-year-old forward has stood out above his teammates to attract positive attention to himself and the club.

This season, however, has been a different story for the Merseyside club who are currently languishing in the bottom five of the Premier League after woeful management from Rafa Benitez and recently, Frank Lampard.

The club's performance this season has apparently driven Richarlison, whose contract with the club expires in 2024, to begin to seek for greener pastures. A report from Football Insider claims that the Brazilian has plainly directed his agents to begin the process of getting him out of Goodison Park in the summer.

The reports claim that Richarlison is no longer happy with the club's sporting project and has lost faith in it, and as such, wants a side where he can enjoy playing football again.

He has been the subject of transfer speculation involving Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United however, which means that he will not have an issue finding a new club next season. However, Richarlison wants a club who will play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Meanwhile, Everton are planning to move for a Sunderland youth player who is valued at £1 million in the summer.

Chris Rigg, 14, is currently one of the most valuable youngsters in England and is on the same career trajectory as Jude Bellingham, who broke into first team football at 16 years old with Birmingham City.

Rigg is already a regular for Sunderland's U-18 team and has trained with the senior team on occasion, showing how high his coaches value him.

Everton, however, will be doing battle with Newcastle United for Rigg's signature. The young midfielder's family are all Newcastle fans, which tips the scales in the Magpies' favour.

Sunderland are hoping to be able to keep the youngster at the club, but their current financial situation could see them fold and listen to bids from both clubs in the summer.

It is rumoured that Rigg will be fast-tracked into first team football in the next year and his talents could provide Everton with a good option in the midfie6in the coming seasons, if they manage to sign him.
