Structure

the highest level of the men's league system is the Italian Football League (Serie A), which contains 20 teams. Under Serie A is the Italian Football League (Serie B).

below Serie B is the Italian Football League C (Serie C), and its management is called the "Italian Football Professional League" (Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico, abbreviated as Lega Pro). Since the 2014/15 season, the C League has 3 groups and a total of 60 teams. There are no longer separate C League and C League. These two leagues are professional leagues like Serie A.

Serie C is the Italian Football League (Serie D). The D League is divided into 9 districts.
