Brazil continued their World Cup preparation on Friday evening with a 3-0 thrashing of Ghana. The Samba boys completed the win in the first half with goals from Marquinhos and Richarlison.

With the international break on, most national teams without any competitive game use this period to fine-tune their strategies as they prepare for the World Cup. The Mundial is just around the corner, and nations prepare to get in shape with friendly matches.

The Black Stars of Ghana beat the odds to qualify for the World Cup after beating favourites Nigeria in the playoffs to secure a place in Qatar. The team is working its players into shape for the challenges ahead as the West African giants have lost plenty of steam.

On Friday night, the Black Stars took on the Brazilian counterpart in a friendly to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the World Cup. It was a mismatch as the Brazilians demolished their African counterparts 3-0.

Ghana falter in a tune-up match

The Black Stars of Ghana took to the pitch on Friday evening against mighty Brazil in a tune-up game ahead of the World Cup later this year. Brazil are one of the favourites to win the World Cup, and it was a good rehearsal for the Ghanaians.

It was a straightforward affair for the Samba boys. They swatted away the challenge by the Black Stars and recorded an almost effortless 3-0 win. The friendly, which took place on Friday, saw Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison hit a brace in the encounter.

The result was just a part of the reason for Brazil fans to be excited. The Samba boys put up a first-half performance that sends massive signals to other challengers for the title. Brazil is bidding for a record-extending sixth title.

Ghana were dominated from the get-go by the aggressive pressing game of the Brazilians. Brazil had attacking players Vinicius Jr., Raphinha, Richarlison and Neymar, who delivered two assists.

How it happened

Brazil ended the game as a contest in the first half. Marquinhos opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a bullet header from a corner by Raphinha.

Richarlison got in on the act. The Spurs striker extended the lead in the 19th minute with a pinpoint first-time strike from the edge of the area. The Brazilian completed his brace five minutes before halftime, as he connected brilliantly with a clever header from a free kick by Neymar.

After the win over Ghana, Richarlison enjoined Brazilian fans to show more belief in him as he is ready to deliver for the country.

After scoring three goals in the first half, Brazil took their feet off the gas in the second half, with the manager Tite sending in several substitutes.

Antony could have made it four in the 75th minute, but he failed to utilise the beautiful cross from Lucas Paqueta. Neymar also had his opportunity in the 80th minute after going past three defenders but sent his shot just wide.

Brazil take on Tunisia in Paris on Tuesday, their last game before their World Cup Group G opener against Serbia on November 24.
