About Ireland First Division

Each club plays the others three times (home and away). The method of calculating the points of a single game is that the winner gets 3 points, the loser gets 0 point, and both sides get 1 point for a tie. Teams are ranked by total points. If the points are the same, the order will be determined by the goal difference and the number of goals. The league champion is directly promoted to Ireland Premier Division. The teams ranked 2nd to 4th will have promotion play-offs. Then the winner will play against the penultimate club in Premier Division for two rounds, in which the final winner can get promotion.
