The Ukrainian Premier League or UPL is the highest division of Ukrainian annual football championship.The Ukrainian Premier League is played in a double round-robin tournament. The winner gets 3 points and the loser has no points. If there is a tie, each gets 1 point. The final ranking is determined by the points. If the points are the same, the ranking will be determined by the record, goal difference, and number of goals.The first place in the league will directly advance to the Champions League group match next season; the second place will participate in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round; the third and fourth places will participate in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round; and the last place will be relegated to the Ukraine Division 2.
