About UEFA Europa League

Previously called the UEFA Cup, the competition has been known as the UEFA Europa League since the 2009–10 season, following a change in format.There are 10 rounds in total. Teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis, except for the group stage and final. If the total number of goals is same, then the rank will be ordered by: Goals scored in away field; Goals scored in overtime; Goals scored in away field; Penalty kick.38 teams which were qualified from the play-off and 10 teams which were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League will go to the group stage. The 48 teams will be divided into 12 groups, and the top 2 teams in the group will qualify for the strong 32. Teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis.Final will be played in a neutral field, and elimination system is adopted in the game. If the game ends in a draw within 90 minutes, then it will go into a 30-minute overtime. If the winner can still not come out, then the game will go into the penalty kick.The champion of UEFA Europa League can qualify for the group stage of UEFA Champions League of next season.
