Wolves v Everton: Lage aims to avoid winter problems

Wolves manager Bruno Lage has called on his team to get points on the board in the Premier League in the coming weeks, with a "hard winter" on the horizon.

Lage's side in fine form

Wolves have hit a purple patch in recent times, beating Southampton, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, before a 1-1 draw with Leeds United last time out.

And going into Monday's match at Molineux, they are amongst the mid-table positions in the top-flight and seemingly well clear of the relegation dogfight.

However, with the Africa Cup of Nations not too far away and a congested fixture list in December, Portuguese head coach Lage is concerned his team could face a tricky couple of months.

And the former Benfica boss is therefore urging his players to "work like little ants" in their upcoming features to make it easier for the team when matches are coming thick and fast.
